First and foremost, we are trial lawyers. Carl Marlinga has practiced for more than 30 years in the state and federal courts of southeast Michigan. He was repeatedly elected as Macomb County prosecuting attorney from 1984 through 2002 and garnered the most votes of any person who had ever run for elective in office in Macomb County. He has also served as an Assistant U.S. Attorney and as a member of the Justice Department's Organized Crime Strike Force. In private practice he has handled complex product liability and divorce cases. Since returning to private practice two years ago, Carl Marlinga has achieved some outstanding results for his criminal defense and business clients.

Mr. John Courie, an adjunct professor of Law at the University of Detroit, also served as a Director for the Michigan Law Enforcement Officers' Training Counsel. Joseph Kosmala has 30 years of experience as a criminal defense attorney and has defended clients in 25 homicide trials. Ryan Machasic worked at the U.S. Department of Justice in Washington, D.C. and for the Macomb County Prosecutor's Office.  He has also successfully represented clients in  a wide variety of cases including drug delivery charges, commercial breach of contract cases and divorce settlements.
